از شین هووا ، به نوشته روزنامه Financial Times مديران اجرايي دو كمپاني در مذاكرات خود در مورد الحاق ديسك Blu-ray سوني با فرمت HD-DVD بحث كردند و قرار است مذاكرات انجام شده بين دو كمپاني تا آخر اين ماه اجرا شود.

دو كمپاني تلاش مي كنند تا تكنيك هاي خود را در استاندارد اين صنعت جديد بگنجانند.

Sony and Toshiba are discussing a new unified standard for next-generation DVDs, according to a Financial Times report on Thursday. Executives from the two firms are stepping up negotiations on the possibility of merging Sony's Blu-ray disc technology with Toshiba's HD-DVD format, Financial Times said.

A solution to end the standoff between their competing products will come out as early as this month, said the Nihon Keizai business daily. The two rivals have been making efforts to have their technological standards adopted by the industry .
