كامپيوترهاي 7 اينچي ايسوس با نام اريگامي عرضه شدند. اين نوت‌بوك‌هاي كوچك كه درمدل R2H قرار دارند، از سيستم عامل مايكروسافت نسخه مخصوص Tabletها استفاده مي‌كنند و از قلم نوري و صفحه نمايش ديجيتالي بهره مي‌برند. Lenovo سری نوت‌ بوک‌های جدید دیگری تحت نام IdeaPad را معرفی کرد: Y۷۱۰، Y۵۱۰ و U۱۱۰.

از ویژگی‌های جدیدی که در این سری ارائه شده می‌توان به سیستم‌های Dolby Home Theatre Speaker، تنظیمات چندرسانه‌ای لمسی و صفحه نمایش‌های “Frameless” اشاره کرد. هر سه مدل فوق به نرم‌افزار امنیتی بیومتریک VeriFace مجهز هستند که جایگزین مناسبی برای اسکنرهای اثر انگشت به شمار می‌روند.

8.9inch Dell laptop coming in June for less than $499

گویا شرکت دل هم تصمیم دارد لپ تاپی کوچک و ارزان قیمت تولید کند.
بعد از اینکه شرکت های ASUS ٬ HP و Acer لب تاپ های ارزان قیمت و کوچک خود را روانه بازار کردند ٬ دل هم به این فکر افتاده که با این محصول یا محصولات ارزان قیمت خود با آنان رقابت کند.
در گذشته لپ تاپ های سبک و کوچک جزو گروه Ultra Portable طبقه بندی می شدند و قیمت گران و بالایی داشتند ولی از وقتی که شرکت ASUS مدل EEE Pc را با قیمتی ارزان به بازار عرضه کرد و با استقبال زیاد خریداران مواجه شد شرکت های دیگر هم به فکر عرضه این گونه محصولات افتادند.
در حال حاضر هم شرکت دل پروژه ای در این رابطه در دست دارد. این لب تاپ دارای نمایشگر ۸.۹ اینچی می باشد و قیمت ان هم ۴۹۹ دلار خواهد بود و قرار است در تابستان امسال در دسترس باشد.

قرار است در همین روزها شرکت Asus (http://asus.com/)سری جدید لپ‌تاپ های کوچک خود را به بازار عرضه کند
این سری جدید که به نسل دوم لب تاپ های Eee PC 900 معروف شده اند با دو سیستم عامل ویندوز XP و لینوکس به باراز عرضه خواهند شد.
از قرار معلوم شرکت Asus (http://asus.com/) برای لب تاپ های دارای ویندوز XP هارد درایو 12 گیگابایتی در نظر گرفته است ولی لب تاپ های دارای سیستم عامل لینوکس به همراه یک هارد درایو 20 گیگابایتی عرضه می‌شوند.
همچنین این لب تاپ های کوچک مجهز به نمایشگر 8.9 اینچی همراه با وب کم 1.3 مگاپیکسلی و یک گیگابایت حافظه، پورت‌های USB و کارت ریدر می‌باشد.
لازم بذکر است که لب تاپ های قبلی ایسوس مجهز به نمایشگر ۷ اینچی بودند که در این سری دوم نمایشگر آن کمی بزرگتر شده است.
