At the S60 Summit in Madrid, Samsung unveiled its latest Symbian OS based smartphone, the Samsung SGH-i400. Available in a slim design, the phone runs one of the most advanced phone operating systems with multitasking abilities and a wide range of applications.
Available in a slider design, the i400 is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, music keys and stereo speakers. A wide 2.3" QVGA display (262k colors) is fitted onto the phone. For added memory, it can take in microSD memory cards up to 4GB.
Bluetooth 2.0 (with A2DP - advanced audio distribution profile) is available, as well as a USB 2.0 interface for quick downloads of media and documents. Compatible with GPRS/EDGE networks, the phone weighs just 92 grams.
The Samsung SCH-i400 will initially be launched in Russia by June 2007 and will follow other European markets soon. No word on the pricing yet, though
